Popia Nestum Recipe (about 50 pcs)

Ingredients
20 pcs popia skin (spring roll wrappers)
100g Nestum cereal (lightly blended or kept coarse)
80g icing sugar (or caster sugar)
2 tbsp butter / margarine
2 tbsp condensed milk (optional, for extra taste)
Oil (for deep frying)

Method
1. Prepare Popia: Cut popia skin into strips (about 1.5cm wide). Roll tightly into small tubes, seal edge with a bit of flour paste (flour + water).
2. Heat oil and deep fry the rolled popia until golden brown & crispy. Drain well on paper towels.
3. In a pan, melt butter. Add sugar (and condensed milk if using), stir until caramelized lightly.
4. Toss fried popia rolls into the butter-sugar mixture.
5. Add Nestum cereal, mix quickly to coat evenly.
6. Let cool, then store in an airtight container.
