Ingredients
250g plain flour (dry roasted until light)
150g ghee (nei) or unsalted butter
100g ground roasted peanuts (or almonds/walnuts)
80g icing sugar (for coating)
50g caster sugar (for dough)
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
Pinch of salt
Method
1. Roast flour in a dry pan over low heat until light and slightly fragrant. Let cool completely.
2. Beat ghee + caster sugar until creamy.
3. Add vanilla essence, ground nuts, and roasted flour → mix until dough comes together.
4. Roll into small balls (marble size).
5. Place on lined baking tray, bake at 160°C for 15–20 mins until firm but still pale.
6. Cool slightly, then coat generously with icing sugar while still warm.
7. Store in airtight container once fully cooled.
