Kuih Gunting Recipe (about 80–100 pcs)

Ingredients
250g plain flour
2 tbsp rice flour (for extra crispiness)
2 tbsp margarine / butter
1 egg
1 tbsp curry powder (meat curry powder works best)
1 tsp chili powder (optional, for extra spice)
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
100ml coconut milk (add gradually)
Oil (for deep frying)

Method
1. In a bowl, mix flour, rice flour, curry powder, chili powder, salt, and sugar.
2. Rub in margarine until mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
3. Add egg and coconut milk gradually → knead into smooth dough (not too soft).
4. Roll dough thinly (about 3–4 mm).
5. Cut into strips, then use scissors to snip into small diamond or rectangle shapes.
6. Heat oil, deep fry until golden brown and crispy.
7. Drain on paper towels, cool completely, and store in airtight container.
