Mango Sticky Rice Recipe
Ingredients (Sticky Rice):
1 cup glutinous rice (soaked 4–6 hrs or overnight)
1 cup coconut milk
½ cup sugar
½ tsp salt
Ingredients (Coconut Sauce):
½ cup coconut milk
1 tbsp sugar
½ tsp salt
1 tsp cornstarch (mix with 2 tsp water)
Other:
2 ripe mangoes (peeled and sliced)
Toasted sesame seeds or mung beans (for garnish)
👩🍳 Steps
1. Cook Sticky Rice
Drain soaked rice and steam for 20–25 minutes until fully cooked.
2. Make Coconut Sticky Rice
Heat 1 cup coconut milk with sugar and salt (don’t boil).
Pour over the hot sticky rice, stir well, cover, and let sit 30 minutes to absorb.
3. Coconut Sauce
Heat ½ cup coconut milk with sugar and salt.
Add cornstarch slurry, stir until slightly thickened.
4. Assemble
Scoop sticky rice onto a plate.
Arrange sliced mangoes beside it.
Drizzle coconut sauce on top.
Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds or mung beans.
