Ingredients: • 1 ribeye or strip steak (1–1.5 inches thick) • Salt + freshly cracked pepper • 1 tbsp oil (high-heat like avocado or canola) • 2 tbsp butter • 2 garlic cloves, smashed • Fresh rosemary or thyme

Instructions: 1. Take steak out of fridge 30 minutes before cooking. Pat dry. Season generously with salt & pepper. 2. Heat oil in a cast iron skillet over high heat until smoking. 3. Sear steak 2–3 min per side (for medium-rare), pressing gently for crust. 4. Lower heat, add butter, garlic, and herbs. Baste steak with melted butter for 1–2 more minutes. 5. Rest steak 5–7 minutes before slicing. Spoon butter over top to serve.
