🥧 Rustic Cinnamon Apple Pie with Flaky Butter Crust

Ingredients:
For the crust: • 2 ½ cups (310g) all-purpose flour • 1 tsp salt • 1 tbsp sugar • 1 cup (225g) cold unsalted butter, cubed • 6–8 tbsp ice water
For the filling: • 6 apples (mix of tart & sweet), peeled & sliced • ⅔ cup brown sugar • 2 tsp cinnamon • ¼ tsp nutmeg • 2 tbsp flour • 1 tbsp lemon juice • 1 egg (for egg wash) • Optional: vanilla ice cream to serve

Instructions: 1. Make the crust: Mix flour, salt, sugar. Cut in butter until coarse crumbs. Add ice water, form dough. Chill 1 hr. 2. Make filling: Toss apples with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour, and lemon juice. 3. Roll out dough. Line a pie dish, fill with apples, cover with top crust or lattice. Seal edges and brush with egg wash. 4. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 45–50 min or until crust is golden and filling is bubbling. 5. Cool slightly. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
