Ingredients (18 cookies) • ½ cup / 115 g unsalted butter, room temp • ⅔ cup / 135 g granulated sugar • 1 Tbsp finely grated orange zest (about 1 large orange) • 1 large egg • 1 tsp vanilla extract • 1 ⅓ cups / 170 g all-purpose flour • ½ tsp baking powder • ¼ tsp ground cardamom (optional but magical) • Pinch fine salt
Orange Glaze • ½ cup powdered sugar • 1 Tbsp fresh orange juice • ½ tsp orange zest
Quick Steps 1️⃣ Cream butter, sugar & zest until fluffy (2 min). Beat in egg & vanilla. 2️⃣ Fold in flour, baking powder, cardamom & salt just until a soft dough forms. Chill 30 min. 3️⃣ Scoop 1 Tbsp balls onto lined sheet; bake 9–10 min at 350 °F / 175 °C until edges barely golden. Cool. 4️⃣ Whisk glaze; drizzle over cookies, sprinkle extra zest. Set 10 min — then bite into citrus bliss!
