Apple Crumble

Ingredients:
* For the filling:
* 3 large Bramley or Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
* 2 tbsp caster sugar
* 1 tbsp water
* 1 tsp ground cinnamon
* For the crumble topping:
* 100g plain flour
* 50g rolled oats
* 50g unsalted butter, cold and cubed
* 50g light brown sugar
Steps:
* Prepare the apples: Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). In a saucepan, combine apple slices, sugar, water, and cinnamon. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until slightly softened. Transfer to an ovenproof dish.
* Make the crumble: In a bowl, rub the cold butter into the flour and oats until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs. Stir in the brown sugar.
* Assemble and bake: Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the cooked apples. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and crunchy, and the apple filling is bubbling.
