🥪🍕 Croque Monsieur Pizza
Ingredients:
1 pre-made pizza dough (or homemade)
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups milk (warm)
1 tsp Dijon mustard
Some chicken pieces
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 ½ cups shredded Gruyère or mozzarella cheese
½ tsp dried thyme (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the béchamel sauce
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
Slowly add warm milk while whisking until smooth and thickened.
Stir in Dijon mustard, Parmesan, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
2. Assemble the pizza
Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
Roll out the pizza dough on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
Spread a thin layer of béchamel sauce over the dough.
Lay chicken evenly across the top.
Sprinkle generously with Gruyère or mozzarella cheese.
3. Bake
Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
4. Garnish & Serve
Sprinkle thyme on top if desired.
Slice and serve hot—gooey, cheesy, and indulgent!
