10-Minute Sweet Chili Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

4–5 dry chilies

3 garlic cloves

1 cup water

⅓ cup sugar

Salt, to taste

⅓ cup vinegar

1 tbsp cornflour

2 tbsp water (for slurry)

Instructions:

Cut dry chilies into small pieces and grind them coarsely.

In a pan, add chilies, garlic, 1 cup water, and sugar. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.

Add salt and vinegar, then cook for another 5 minutes.

In a small bowl, mix cornflour with 2 tbsp water to make a slurry.

Add the slurry to the pan and cook for 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Let it cool completely, then store in a clean jar.

Keep refrigerated — stays fresh for up to 1 month
