🍞 Rustic Apple Cinnamon Walnut Bread (Homemade, No Sourdough)
Ingredients (1 loaf): • 2 cups all-purpose flour • 1 cup whole wheat flour • 2 tsp baking powder • ½ tsp baking soda • 1 tsp cinnamon • ¼ tsp nutmeg • ½ tsp salt • 2 large eggs • ½ cup honey or maple syrup • ½ cup plain yogurt (or sour cream) • ⅓ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter) • 1 tsp vanilla extract • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced • ½ cup walnuts, chopped
Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan. 2. In a bowl, mix flours, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt. 3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, honey, yogurt, oil, and vanilla until smooth. 4. Fold wet and dry mixtures together gently. Add apples and walnuts. 5. Pour batter into pan. Bake 45–55 min until golden and a toothpick comes out clean. 6. Let cool before slicing. Serve plain or lightly toasted.
