Momos Chutney Recipe (Street Style)
Ingredients
For Boiling:
- 1 cup water
- 2 tomatoes (roughly chopped)
- 6–8 dried red chilies
- 4–5 cloves garlic
- 1 inch ginger
For Sauce:
- 1 tbsp oil
- Salt – to taste
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 2 tbsp spring onion (chopped)
🔪 Preparation Method
1. Boil Base
- In a pan, add water, tomatoes, dried red chilies, garlic, and ginger.
- Boil for 6–7 minutes until tomatoes soften and chilies turn tender.
- Let it cool slightly.
2. Grind Chutney
- Transfer the boiled mixture to a blender.
- Blend into a smooth paste.
3. Cook Sauce
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add the ground paste, salt, tomato sauce, and vinegar.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes until it thickens.
4. Finish & Serve
- Add chopped spring onions and mix well.
- Turn off the flame and serve with hot steamed or fried momos.
Tip: Add a little sugar if you want to balance the tangy-spicy flavour
