KFC-Style Popcorn Chicken Recipe
๐ Ingredients:
Chicken breast โ 500g (cut into small bite-sized cubes)
Buttermilk โ 1 cup (or milk + 1 tbsp vinegar)
Salt โ 1 tsp
Black pepper โ 1 tsp
Garlic powder โ 1 tsp
Paprika โ 1 tsp
For Coating:
All-purpose flour โ 1 cup
Cornstarch โ ยฝ cup
Baking powder โ ยฝ tsp
Salt โ 1 tsp
Black pepper โ 1 tsp
Paprika โ 1 tsp
Oregano โ ยฝ tsp (optional)
For Frying:
Oil โ for deep frying

๐ฅ Method:
1. Marinate Chicken:
Mix chicken pieces with buttermilk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (best 4 hours).
2. Prepare Coating:
In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, pepper, paprika, and oregano.
3. Bread the Chicken:
Remove chicken from marinade.
Toss pieces in flour mixture, pressing well so coating sticks.
For extra crispy texture: dip once in buttermilk then again in flour mix (double coating).
4. Fry:
Heat oil medium-hot. Fry chicken in small batches until golden brown and crispy (about 4โ5 mins).
Drain on paper towel.
5. Serve:
With ketchup, mayo dip, or spicy sauce โ just like KFC!
