Cinnamon Sugar Apple Delight on Puff Pastry

  • Easy apple tart recipe

    1 sheet ready-rolled puff pastry
    2–3 apples (or pears if you prefer)
    1 egg, beaten (for glaze)
    1 tbsp white sugar
    2 tbsp brown sugar
    1 tsp cinnamon (or more if you love it!)
    1 tbsp butter
    Instructions

    Preheat oven to 220°C / 425°F.
    Mix the white and brown sugar with the cinnamon.
    Unroll the pastry, cut in half lengthways, then cut each half into 2 equal pieces. Lay them on a lined baking tray.
    Halve and core the apples (leave the skin on), then thinly slice. Place a sliced apple half, cut side down, in the center of each pastry piece.
    Dot with a little butter, brush the pastry edges with beaten egg, and sprinkle with sugar.
    Bake for 12–15 minutes until puffed and golden.
    Serve warm with vanilla ice cream… or sneak one cold later on.
