simple and tasty Pizza Grilled Cheese 🍕🧀
Ingredients:
4 slices of bread (Italian or sourdough works best)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
8–10 slices of pepperoni (or your favorite pizza toppings)
2–3 tablespoons pizza sauce (plus extra for dipping)
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
Instructions:
1. Prepare the bread:
In a small bowl, mix butter, Parmesan, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Spread this mixture evenly on one side of each bread slice.
2. Assemble the sandwich:
On the unbuttered side of two bread slices, spread a thin layer of pizza sauce. Top with mozzarella, cheddar, and pepperoni slices. Add cheese if you like it extra gooey! Place the remaining bread slices on top, buttered side facing out.
3. Grill:
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwiches in the pan and cook until golden brown and crispy on one side (about 3–4 minutes). Flip carefully and grill the other side until the cheese is melted and bread is crisp.
4. Serve:
Slice diagonally and serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
