For the salted caramel: • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar • 2 tbsp water • ¼ cup (60ml) heavy cream • 2 tbsp butter • ¼ tsp sea salt
For the crumble topping: • ½ cup (60g) all-purpose flour • ½ cup (45g) old-fashioned oats • ⅓ cup (65g) brown sugar • ¼ tsp cinnamon • ¼ cup (60g) cold butter, cubed
For the crust: • 1 homemade or store-bought 9-inch pie crust

Instructions: 1. Make the caramel: Heat sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Once amber, add cream (carefully), butter, and salt. Stir until smooth. Cool. 2. Make the filling: Toss apple slices with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour, lemon juice, and salt. 3. Assemble the pie: Place crust in a greased pie dish. Fill with apple mixture. Drizzle with half the caramel sauce. 4. Add crumble topping: Mix flour, oats, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over the apples. 5. Bake: Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45–55 minutes until golden and bubbling. Cool 1 hour before serving. 6. Serve: Drizzle with remaining caramel and top with ice cream if desired.
