Sausage, Bacon & Mascarpone Pasta with Heinz Tomato Grana Padano Sauce

Ingredients
• 250g pasta (mafaldine, rigatoni or penne)
• 4 pork sausages, skins removed
• 4 rashers smoked bacon, chopped
• 1 small onion, finely diced
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 tsp smoked paprika
• ½ tsp chilli flakes (optional)
• 1 jar Heinz Tomato, Grana Padano & Mascarpone Pasta Sauce
• 30g grated Parmesan, plus extra to serve
• Salt & black pepper
• Olive oil
• Fresh parsley or basil, chopped
Method
Cook the pasta in well salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve a mug of pasta water.
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large pan. Add the sausage meat, breaking it up, and cook until golden.
Add the bacon and fry until crispy.
Stir in the onion and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened. Add the garlic, smoked paprika and chilli flakes and cook for 30 seconds.
Pour in the Heinz Tomato, Grana Padano & Mascarpone Pasta Sauce and simmer gently for 3–4 minutes.
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, loosening with a splash of pasta water if needed.
Stir through the Parmesan, season to taste.
Finish with extra Parmesan and fresh herbs, then serve.
