Old-School Bakery Style Date Scones Recipe with Cinnamon, Butter and Vanilla
🧈 DATE SCONES (old-school bakery style!)
You know those warm, fluffy scones from country bakeries?
These are exactly like that.
Soft, lightly spiced, packed with sweet dates… and absolutely made for a thick layer of butter.
Perfect for morning tea, lunchboxes or when someone suddenly says
“we should have people over for coffee.” 😅

• 350g self-raising flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• ¼ cup caster sugar

• 160g chopped dates
• ⅔ cup milk
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 egg (for brushing)
