Classic Aussie Weet-Bix Slice with Silky Chocolate and Colourful Freckles

Chewy chocolate Weet-Bix base, topped with silky chocolate and colourful Freckles.
Simple pantry ingredients, one bowl, and the kids absolutely love it.

🍫 WEET-BIX SLICE

Serves: 16
Prep: 10 mins
Bake: 15–20 mins

INGREDIENTS

• 12 Weet-Bix, crushed
• ¼ cup cocoa powder
• ¾ cup brown sugar
• 200g butter, melted
• ½ cup desiccated coconut
• 1 egg
• 250g milk chocolate, melted
• 2 tbs coconut oil (optional)
• Chocolate Freckles

👩‍🍳 METHOD

Preheat oven to 160°C fan-forced.
Line a 20cm square slice tin with baking paper.

Place the crushed Weet-Bix into a bowl.

Add the cocoa powder, brown sugar, melted butter, coconut and egg. Mix well.

Press the mixture firmly into the prepared tin.

Bake for 15–20 minutes until firm. Allow to cool.

Spread the melted chocolate over the top.

Working quickly, decorate with Freckles.

Chill until set, then slice.

(Try not to eat half the tray “just trimming the edges”.)
