🧀 Cheeseburger Pockets
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 clove garlic, minced
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese slices)
1 package puff pastry sheets (thawed)
1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions:
1. Cook the filling
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
Add minced garlic, salt, pepper, and onion (if using). Stir until fragrant and beef is fully cooked.
Drain excess fat and let it cool slightly.
2. Prepare the pastry
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Roll out puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface.
Cut into squares or rectangles (about 4–6 pieces depending on size).
3. Assemble pockets
Spoon some beef mixture onto one half of each pastry square.
Add shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Fold pastry over to form a pocket (triangle or rectangle).
Press edges with a fork to seal.
4. Egg wash & bake
Brush tops with beaten egg for a golden crust.
Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
5. Serve hot
Let cool for 2–3 minutes before serving.
