Diwali Special Suji Barfi
A soft, melt-in-mouth festive sweet made with suji, milk, and saffron – perfect for Diwali celebrations! ✨
Ingredients
• 1 Tbsp Ghee
• 1 Cup Suji (Semolina)
• 2 ¼ Cups Milk
• ½ Tsp Cardamom Powder
• A Few Saffron Strands (Soaked In Milk)
• ½ Cup Sugar
• 1 Tbsp Ghee (Extra)
• Almonds & Pistachios (For Garnish)
Instructions
1. Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan. Roast 1 cup suji for 5–7 minutes until aromatic.
2. Add 2 ¼ cups milk, stir continuously to avoid lumps.
3. Mix in cardamom powder and saffron milk.
4. Add ½ cup sugar, stir well.
5. Add 1 tbsp ghee, cook until mixture leaves the pan.
6. Grease a plate with oil, spread the mixture evenly.
7. Garnish with almonds & pistachios.
8. Let it cool for 30 minutes, then cut into barfi pieces.
