Ingredients:
• 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
• 3 large eggs
• 1 tbsp vanilla extract
• 1 cup whole milk

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a round or loaf cake pan.
2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
4. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
5. Gradually add dry ingredients, alternating with milk. Mix until just combined.
6. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
7. Cool, slice, and serve with whipped cream, jam, or on its own.
