Ingredients:
For the Dough:
- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 large)
- 1/2 cup warm milk (110Β°F)
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (plus for kneading)
For the Filling:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup softened butter
For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp butter, softened
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Steps:
1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5β10 minutes until foamy.
2. Add mashed bananas, melted butter, sugar, egg, and salt. Mix well.
3. Gradually add flour and stir until dough forms. Knead for 5β7 minutes until soft and slightly sticky.
4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
5. Roll out dough into a rectangle (about 16x12 inches). Spread with softened butter.
6. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over buttered dough.
7. Roll tightly from the long end and slice into 12 rolls. Place in a greased 9x13 baking dish.
8. Cover and let rise for 30β45 minutes. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
9. Bake rolls for 25β28 minutes or until golden.
10. Beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread over warm rolls and serve.
