Homemade Hot Sauce Recipe | Easy Spicy Chili Sauce Preparation at Home 🌶️🔥
Ingredients:
- Fresh Red Chilies – 15 to 20 (adjust spice level)
- Garlic – 6 to 8 cloves
- Onion – 1 small (optional, for depth of flavor)
- Vinegar – ½ cup (white or apple cider vinegar)
- Water – ½ cup
- Salt – 1 tsp (adjust to taste)
- Sugar or Jaggery – ½ tsp (balances acidity, optional)
- Oil – 1 tbsp (neutral oil like sunflower)
Preparation Method:
1. Prep the chilies
* Wash and remove the stems.
* For less heat, deseed them (optional).
2. Cook the base
* Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan.
* Add garlic and onion, sauté until soft.
* Add the chilies and cook for 2–3 minutes.
3. Blend
* Transfer the sautéed mixture to a blender.
* Add vinegar, water, salt, and sugar.
* Blend until smooth.
4. Adjust & simmer
* Pour the blended sauce back into the pan.
* Simmer on low heat for 8–10 minutes until slightly thickened.
* Taste and adjust salt, vinegar, or sugar.
5. Cool & store
* Let it cool completely.
* Transfer to a clean, sterilized glass bottle.
* Store in refrigerator – lasts for 3–4 weeks.

* For smoky flavor → roast the chilies before blending.
* For extra tang → increase vinegar slightly.
* For sweetness → add jaggery/honey.
