Ingredients:
● 2 oz silver tequila
● 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
● 0.75 oz hibiscus syrup (see note)
● 0.5 oz orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or triple sec)
● Ice cubes
● Dried hibiscus salt or coarse salt (for rim, optional)
● Lime wheel or dried hibiscus flower (for garnish)
📝 Instructions:
1️⃣ To make hibiscus syrup, steep 1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers in 1 cup hot water for 10 minutes, strain, and stir in 1/2 cup sugar until dissolved, then cool.
2️⃣ Optional: Rim a rocks glass with lime and dip into hibiscus salt or coarse salt.
3️⃣ Fill the glass with ice cubes and set aside.
4️⃣ In a shaker, combine tequila, lime juice, hibiscus syrup, and orange liqueur with ice.
5️⃣ Shake vigorously for 15 seconds until chilled.
6️⃣ Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
7️⃣ Garnish with a lime wheel or a dried hibiscus flower.
