Good Morning Oatmeal Waffles ππ
Oatmeal in the form of beautiful homemade WAFFLES!
Super Simple, Whole-Food recipe and they are beyond Scrumptious!
Oatmeal is a COMPLEX carbohydrate, that our body uses VERY well for sustainable energy.
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups oat flour, or ground oats
2 tsps baking powder
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon, optional
1/2 cup unsweetened coconut milk, cashew milk, or almond milk
1/4 cup melted unrefined coconut oil
2 large eggs
3 Tbsps maple syrup, or raw honey
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
fresh berries, to garnish
Instructions:
Preheat your waffle iron.
Combine by whisking together; oat flour, baking powder, sea salt and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl, then set aside.
In another mixing bowl, whisk together milk, coconut oil, eggs, maple syrup and vanilla extract. Whisk until your mixture is creamy.
Next, make a well in your dry ingredients.
Pour your liquid mixture into the well and gently fold until all the ingredients are well combined.
Let your batter stand at room temperature for about 10 minutes
Ladle about 1/2 cup of the prepared batter into your preheated waffle iron.
Cook the waffles until golden and crisp, about 2-3 minutes.
Garnish with fresh berries and serve immediately with additional maple syrup, or raw honey if desired.
