Hello bakers, here is the recipe for oatmeal and coconut cookies 🥥🥥 Credits Mary's kitchen group @homemade_addict2 ingredients 1 cup plain flour (all purpose flour) 1 cup rolled oats 1 cup dried coconut Unsweetened 3/4 cup white sugar Wheels/superfine are preferred 150g/5oz unsalted butter 4 tablespoons golden syrup 1 teaspoon of baking soda (Bicarbonate of soda) 1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F (fan 160°C) 2. Line baking trays with baking paper. 3. Mix flour, oats, coconut and sugar in a bowl. 4. Place the butter and golden syrup in a saucepan over medium-high heat and stir until the butter melts It melted. 5. Add the baking soda and stir – it will fizz, this is normal. Immediately remove from heat. 6. Pour the butter mixture into the flour and mix until the ingredients are combined. 7. Form a tablespoon of the mixture into balls, then flatten them into discs. Place the balls 2.5 cm/1 inch apart Prepared trays. 8. Bake for 15 minutes, switching trays halfway through cooking, or until golden. (Bread 12 minutes for chewy biscuits!) 9. Leave on the trays for 5 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool – they harden as they cool!
