Ingredients

For the cake layers:

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

½ cup cocoa powder

1 ½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

¾ cup unsalted butter (softened)

1 cup sugar

3 large eggs

1 cup milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

For the cream filling:

2 cups cream cheese (softened)

½ cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 ½ cups heavy cream (whipped stiff)

For the chocolate ganache drip:

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

½ cup heavy cream

For toppings:

Fresh cherries

Blackberries

Raspberries

Chocolate bars or truffles

Mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

Bake the cake

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 8-inch cake pans.

Whisk flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.

Mix in dry ingredients alternately with milk.

Divide into pans and bake 25–30 minutes. Let cool completely.

Prepare the cream filling

Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.

Fold in whipped cream until fluffy.

Make ganache drip

Heat cream until just simmering. Pour over chocolate chips.

Stir until smooth and glossy. Let cool slightly.

Assemble the cake

Place one cake layer, spread cream filling, add fresh berries.

Repeat with the second layer. Frost lightly around edges.

Pour chocolate ganache over the top and let it drip down the sides.

Decorate

Garnish with cherries, blackberries, raspberries, chocolate pieces, and mint leaves.

Chill for 30 minutes before serving.
