    GRILLED BBQ BURGER⁠
    ⁠
    Serves 4⁠
    ⁠
    INGREDIENTS⁠
    ⁠16 ounce package frozen onion rings⁠
    1 ½ pounds ground beef preferably ground chuck⁠
    1 ½ teaspoons salt⁠
    1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper⁠
    1 teaspoon smoked paprika⁠
    1 teaspoon garlic powder⁠
    1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce⁠
    1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke⁠
    4 sesame seed buns⁠
    8 slices bacon cooked⁠
    4 slices American cheese⁠
    1/2 cup barbecue sauce⁠
    Lettuce, tomato, and pickle slices for serving⁠
    ⁠
    INSTRUCTIONS⁠
    ⁠
    1. Cook onion rings according to package directions. Set aside.⁠
    ⁠
    2. While onion rings are cooking, preheat your grill or grill pan over medium high heat.⁠
    ⁠
    3. In a large bowl mix together the ground beef with the spices, Worcestershire and liquid smoke until thoroughly combined. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties that are slightly larger than your buns. Make an indent in the center of the patties with your thumb.⁠
    ⁠
    4. Grill patties until they reach your desired level of doneness. 145℉ for medium or 155℉ for medium well or about 4-6 minutes per side. Add a slice of cheese to each pattie while the second side finishes cooking. Remove to a plate.⁠
    ⁠
    5. Build the burgers with the onion rings and BBQ sauce and the toppings of your choice. I like lettuce, pickles and tomatoes. Serve immediately.⁠
