1/2 cup salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
For the Salted Caramel Drizzle:
1/2 cup salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1/4 teaspoon sea salt (flaky salt, for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Banana Bread: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a loaf pan (9x5 inches) with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and brown sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
Mash the ripe bananas in a separate bowl, and stir in the sour cream (or yogurt) and milk.
Gradually add the wet banana mixture into the butter-sugar mixture, mixing until well combined.
Fold in the dry ingredients until just combined.
Gently stir in the salted caramel sauce, mixing it in but not overmixing.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it out evenly.
2. Bake the Banana Bread: Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with just a few crumbs.
Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
3. Make the Salted Caramel Drizzle: If using store-bought salted caramel sauce, warm it slightly in the microwave or stovetop to make it easier to drizzle.
Drizzle the warm salted caramel sauce over the cooled banana bread.
Sprinkle the top with flaky sea salt for that perfect sweet and salty contrast. #banana #bananabread #bananabreadrecipe #saltedcaramel #breadrecipe #sweetbread
