    This is cheesecake… but not like you know it. It’s burnt on purpose, with a dark cracked top and a creamy, almost custardy chocolate center. The cocoa crust on the bottom adds depth, and the uneven edges give it that rustic, real charm you want. It’s not perfect — and that’s why it’s irresistible.



    📝 Ingredients (1 small cheesecake, ~6–8 slices):

    For the cocoa crust (optional):
    • 1 cup crushed digestive biscuits or graham crackers
    • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
    • ¼ cup melted butter

    For the filling:
    • 400g cream cheese (room temp)
    • ½ cup sugar
    • 3 eggs
    • ½ cup dark chocolate (melted)
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • ½ cup heavy cream
    • 1 tbsp flour
    • Pinch of salt



    🔥 Instructions:
    1. Make the crust (optional):
    Mix crushed biscuits, cocoa powder, and melted butter. Press into the base of a lined springform pan (8-inch). Chill while you make the filling.
    2. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
    3. Mix filling:
    Whisk cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time. Then stir in melted chocolate, vanilla, cream, flour, and salt.
    4. Bake:
    Pour over the crust (or directly into pan if crustless). Bake for 30–35 minutes until the top is dark and cracked, but the center still jiggles slightly.
    5. Cool & serve:
    Let it cool at room temp, then chill. Slice roughly. Let the top crack and the center melt on the plate.
