Flour Tortilla

Ingredients:
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or shortening
• ¾ teaspoon salt
• ¾ cup warm water

Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt.
2. Add vegetable oil and rub it into the flour until crumbly.
3. Gradually add warm water and knead until soft and elastic (5 minutes).
4. Let the dough rest for 20–30 minutes.
5. Divide into small balls and roll each into a thin circle.
6. Heat a dry skillet over medium heat.
7. Cook each tortilla for 30–40 seconds per side until golden spots appear.
8. Stack cooked tortillas and cover to keep soft.
