These were inspired by @chloe.foods because I’ve seen her make them two years in a row now and they come out so beautiful every time! This is a simple but delicious twist on normal brownies - basically you just add some peppermint extract and crushed candy canes. They’re the perfect treat to have in your house around the holidays for snacking or dessert:)
INGREDIENTS: - 1 cup all purpose flour - 3/4 cup coconut sugar - 1/2 tsp salt - 1/3 cup cocoa powder - 2 eggs - 2/3 cup butter (melted) - 2 tsp vanilla - 1 tsp peppermint extract - 2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips (melted) - 1/4 cup milk of choice - 1/3 cup candy cane pieces (+ more to top) ⠀ Preheat the oven to 350°. Mix the flour, coconut sugar, salt, and cocoa powder. In a separate bowl, whisk the melted butter, vanilla, peppermint extract, melted chocolate, and milk. Combine the wet and dry ingredients and mix in the candy cane pieces. Pour into a greased 9x9 pan and top with more candy cane pieces. Bake for 21-25 minutes. ENJOY.
