Hasselback Butternut Squash 🍯

* 1 butternut squash
* 2 tablespoons olive oil
* Salt and pepper
* 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
* Bay leaves

Preheat the oven to 200°C hot air (390°F). Halve the squash lengthwise and scoop out the seeds. Use a peeler and remove the skin. Place on a baking tray and season with oil, salt and pepper. Bake for 15 mins.
Slice through the rounded sides of squash halves, crosswise, without cutting all the way through. Add maple syrup and bay leaves. Roast the squash for 45-50 minutes more until golden and tender.
