UPDATE - HOW TO CROCHET THE BOBBLE STITCH:
Yarn over and insert into next st, yarn over, and pull through 1 loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 more loops. *Yarn over and insert into same st. Yarn over and pull through 1 loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops. Repeat from * three more times (total of 6 loops on hook). Yarn over and pull through all loops on hook. Your bobble is now complete!

For this pattern, safety eyes are optional. I like to stitch my eyes on when working with plushie yarn but I use safety eyes with smaller yarn.
