Bacon and Cheese Quiche

Chuẩn bị

  • A savory and creamy egg custard baked in a buttery crust, filled with crispy bacon, gooey cheese, and fresh herbs. This quiche is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even dinner alongside a fresh salad.

    Main Ingredients 📝

For the Crust (or use pre-made):
    • 1 1/4 cups (160g) all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 3-4 tbsp ice water

    For the Filling:
    • 6 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
    • 1 cup (120g) shredded cheddar cheese
    • 1/2 cup (60g) shredded mozzarella cheese
    • 4 large eggs
    • 1 1/2 cups (360ml) heavy cream (or half-and-half for lighter texture)
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1/4 tsp black pepper
    • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
    • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (plus more for garnish)

    Step-by-Step Instructions 🥄

Prepare the Crust (Skip if using pre-made):
In a bowl, whisk flour and salt. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly. Add ice water, 1 tbsp at a time, mixing until the dough comes together. Form into a disk, wrap, and chill for 30 minutes. Roll out and press into a 9-inch tart pan or pie dish. Blind bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes.

    Cook the Bacon
While the crust is baking, cook the bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels and crumble into pieces.

    Assemble the Filling
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir in chopped parsley.

    Layer the Quiche
Sprinkle half the cheese into the bottom of the baked crust. Add half of the crumbled bacon. Pour the egg mixture over the top, then add the remaining cheese and bacon.

    Bake Until Golden
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 35-40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown. If the edges of the crust brown too quickly, cover them with foil.

    Cool and Garnish
Let it cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with extra parsley and serve warm!
