Savory Brussels Sprouts in Creamy Garlic Parmesan Sauce with Crispy Bacon
Ingredients:
2 lb Brussels sprouts, halved
8 slices bacon, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups (8oz cup size)of heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Cook the Bacon:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.
Sauté the Brussels Sprouts:
Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the skillet.
Cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sprouts are golden brown and tender.
Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Make the Creamy Sauce:
Pour the heavy cream into the skillet with the Brussels sprouts and garlic.
Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until the cream thickens slightly.
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and shredded mozzarella cheese until melted and well combined.
Combine and Serve:
Add the crispy bacon back to the skillet and stir to combine.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
