Ingredients:
1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup finely chopped pepperoni
1/4 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Olive oil, for brushing
Directions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles.
Assemble Pizza Puffs: In a bowl, mix together pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, chopped pepperoni, green bell pepper, onion, dried oregano, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using).
Fill Dough: Spoon a tablespoon of the pizza filling onto the wide end of each crescent triangle.
Fold and Seal: Roll up the dough, starting from the wide end, and pinch the edges to seal the filling inside.
Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the filled dough on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down.
Brush with Olive Oil: Lightly brush the tops of the pizza puffs with olive oil.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
Cool and Serve: Allow the pizza puffs to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm as a delicious snack or appetizer!
