Ingredients:

For the Topping:
3 tablespoons butter
½ cup brown sugar
2 peaches, sliced
For the Cake:
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup buttermilk

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch cake pan.
Melt butter in the pan and sprinkle with brown sugar. Arrange peach slices over it.
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla.
Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk to the wet ingredients.
Pour batter over peaches and bake for 35–40 minutes.
