Sizzling Hibachi Steak and Shrimp Delight with Yum Yum Sauce
Savor the flavors of steak, shrimp, and sizzle with the convenience of hibachi at home!
Ingredients:
For the Protein:
1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp butter (for cooking)
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp garlic, minced
Salt & pepper to taste
For the Vegetables (optional):
1 cup zucchini, sliced
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
1/2 onion, sliced
1 tbsp oil or butter
Soy sauce to taste
For the Yum Yum Sauce (optional but essential):
1/2 cup mayo
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp rice vinegar
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1–2 tbsp water (to thin)
Instructions:
Make the Yum Yum Sauce:
Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Chill in the fridge while you cook.
Cook the Steak:
Heat a griddle or skillet over medium-high heat. Add a little butter and sesame oil. Sear steak cubes 2–3 minutes per side. Add garlic, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat. Remove and set aside.
Cook the Shrimp:
In the same pan, add more butter if needed. Cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Season with soy sauce and garlic.
Optional – Cook the Veggies:
Sauté onion, zucchini, and mushrooms in oil or butter. Add soy sauce to taste. Cook until tender-crisp.
Serve:
Plate steak and shrimp with vegetables and a side of fried rice or steamed rice. Drizzle with yum yum sauce or serve on the side.
