Crispy Baked Cod with Lemon Butter Sauce
Ingredients:
For the Cod:
1 pound cod fillets
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
For the Lemon Butter Sauce:
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Prepare the Cod: In a shallow dish, combine flour, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge the cod fillets in the mixture to coat evenly.
Bake the Cod: Place the cod fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Make the Lemon Butter Sauce: In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add lemon juice, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
