Sauce: 🛢️ 2 - 3 tbsp Oil 🧄 10 - 12 Garlic Cloves (finely chopped) 🌱 2 Spring Onions (chopped) 🫑 1 Capsicum (chopped) 🌶️ 1/4 Cup Schezwan Sauce 🍅 1/4 Cup Tomato Sauce 🔥 1 tbsp Red Chilli Sauce 🖤 1 tsp Dark Soya Sauce 🍬 1 tsp Sugar 🟠 A Pinch of Orange Red Food Color 🌽 1 tbsp Cornflour + 2 tbsp Water (slurry) 🌿 Spring Onion Greens (for garnish)
👩🍳 Method
1️⃣ Split chicken breast from the middle and cut into strips. 2️⃣ Add salt, pepper, vinegar, dark soya sauce, and ginger garlic paste to chicken. Mix well and marinate for 30 mins. 3️⃣ In a bowl, mix cornflour, all-purpose flour, salt, pepper, egg white, baking powder, and water to form a semi-thick batter. 4️⃣ Add marinated chicken to the batter and coat well. 5️⃣ Deep fry the chicken on medium flame for 3 - 4 mins until golden brown. 6️⃣ Heat 2 - 3 tbsp oil in a pan. 7️⃣ Add finely chopped garlic and sauté for a few seconds. 8️⃣ Add spring onion bulbs & greens, sauté for a minute. 9️⃣ Add capsicum and sauté for a few seconds. 🔟 Add schezwan sauce, tomato sauce, red chilli sauce, dark soya sauce, sugar, and food color. Mix well. 1️⃣1️⃣ Make a slurry by mixing 1 tbsp cornflour + 2 tbsp water and add it to the sauce. Stir well. 1️⃣2️⃣ Add fried chicken and mix everything well. 1️⃣3️⃣ Garnish with spring onion greens and serve hot! 🍽️
