Ingredients: • 2 ½ cups shredded coconut (unsweetened) • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk (halal-certified) • 1 cup full-fat cow milk • 1 tablespoon cornstarch • 1 packet vanilla powder or 1 teaspoon vanilla (alcohol free) • Melted chocolate or chocolate spread for filling (halal-certified)
⸻
Instructions: 1. In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in the full-fat milk and set aside. 2. In a pan over low heat, combine the condensed milk, shredded coconut, and vanilla. 3. Gradually pour in the milk–cornstarch mixture while stirring continuously. 4. Cook the mixture on low heat until it thickens and starts to pull away from the sides of the pan. 5. Remove from heat and let it cool until it’s easy to handle. 6. Take small portions, flatten them in your palm, add a small spoon of chocolate filling, and shape into balls. 7. Roll each ball in shredded coconut to coat it evenly. 8. Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving.

Tips: Use high-quality halal chocolate spread or melted chocolate. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. You can skip the chocolate filling for a plain version.
