🍰 Black Sesame & Yuzu Cake with White Chocolate Glaze
Ingredients (Serves 8–10):
For the cake: • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour • ½ cup black sesame seeds, toasted and ground • 2 tsp baking powder • Pinch of salt • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened • ¾ cup sugar • 3 large eggs • ½ cup Greek yogurt • ¼ cup yuzu juice (or mix lemon + lime juice if no yuzu) • Zest of 1 lemon
For the glaze: • ½ cup white chocolate, melted • 2 tbsp heavy cream
For garnish: • A sprinkle of toasted black sesame seeds • Thin curls of lemon zest
Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a round cake pan. 2. Mix flour, ground sesame, baking powder, and salt. 3. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one by one, then yogurt, yuzu juice, and zest. 4. Fold in dry mix gently. Bake 40–45 min until set and a toothpick comes out clean. 5. Drizzle with melted white chocolate glaze and finish with sesame seeds and lemon zest.
