Baked Manicotti Pasta
Ingredients 🛒:
1 box (8 oz) manicotti shells
1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage 🥩
1 cup ricotta cheese 🧀
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese 🧀
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 🧀
1 egg 🥚
3 cups marinara or pasta sauce 🍅
2 cloves garlic, minced 🧄
1 tsp Italian seasoning 🌿
Salt & pepper to taste 🧂
Fresh parsley or basil for garnish 🌿
Directions 👩🍳:
Preheat Oven: Set to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Cook the Pasta: Boil manicotti shells until just tender. Drain and set aside to cool.
Prepare the Filling: In a pan, cook ground beef with garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Drain. Mix with ricotta, 1/2 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, and egg in a large bowl.
Stuff the Shells: Fill each manicotti shell with the beef-cheese mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
Assemble the Dish: Spread 1 cup of marinara on the bottom of the dish. Place filled shells on top, then cover with remaining sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella.
Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake another 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Serve: Let rest a few minutes. Garnish with parsley or basil and serve warm!
