I can't believe the day to release my first free pattern is already here! It feels like yesterday I was asking for help testing, even though it was a week ago!!
Well, now to stop being "sappy", I'll give you the rundown of the pattern & thank my testers.

Pattern-wise-- first off, do not copy, redistribute, or claim as your own. This includes posting on free pattern pages. I spent a long time creating this pattern & my testers as well.
Secondly, I'd put this at an intermediate beginner level. While it contains mostly simple stitches like chains, single crochets, slip stitches, increases, and decreases, it also contains a stitch called a "spin single crochet." This is not a difficult stitch, and there are only 4 in the whole pattern. Another thing that is used in the basic bird is skipping stitches. This is so that we can make the head sprout directly off the body! I give clear pictures of lining up the tail & head start on the 2nd to last page of the post.
